Case Example Jesse has entered counseling because he is depressed and hying to decide whether he should continue to major in pre-med or change his major to philosophy. His parents are pressuring him to remain in pre-med, because a bachelor's degree in philosophy will not make him very employable. There are several decisions to be made that will affect Jesse's treatment. One decision will he what the focus of counseling should be (possibilities include his depression, his career decision, his relationship with his parents).
